In 2007, due to the expansion of the field of activity of the Faculty of Finance and Economics, an increase in the number of students, the number of study hours, the need to train specialists in new areas of development of financial science and practice, as well as the adoption of a new influence of financial management in the field of training personnel who must meet new economic conditions, on the basis of the Department of Finance and Credit two new departments were created, that is, the Department of Finance and Financial Management.
Since 2020, the name of the Department of Financial Management has been changed to public financial management, two new specialties have been created on the basis of the department: 1-25010410 – “Financial Management”, 1-25010409 – “Finance and control in the field of customs activity”.
Currently, the following teachers and staff work at the Department of Public Financial Management: Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Ikromov F.N., Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Davlatshoev O.H., Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Hikmatov S.H., Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Davlatmuradov Sh.M., Candidate of Economics, Senior Lecturer Tursunov I.H., Ph.D. in Economics, senior lecturer Tazhiboeva F.E., senior lecturer Khakimov I.B., senior lecturer Amonova D.A., senior lecturer Sadizoda J., assistant Mahmadrizoiyon S., assistant Yunusov A., laboratory assistant – Lolakhonov A.E.В
Currently, on the basis of the Department of Public Financial Management, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree specialists are trained in the areas of financial management and finance and control in the field of customs.
To date, the Department of Public Financial Management has implemented 18 academic subjects, of which 13 compulsory subjects and 5 elective subjects. These subjects are taught on the basis of educational programs, work programs (syllabuses). It is worth noting that the educational programs are based on the requirements of the SES direction 2501 “Economics and Management” in the specialties 1-25010410-“Financial Management” and 1-25010409-“Finance and control in the field of customs”, which were adopted by the decision of the Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 28, 2017, No. 18/135.
Training programs of the Department of Public Financial Management “Fundamentals of Financial and Credit Policy”, “Budget and Budget system”, “Investments”, “Financial Management”, “Public Debt”, “Enterprise Finance”, “State Budget and its financial indicators”, “Treasury system”, “Financial Market”, “Entrepreneurship Finance”, “State Trust Funds”, “Financial Calculations” and others are recommended for publication by the decision of the Scientific and Methodological Council of TNU dated 12/21/2020, Protocol No. 04. Based on educational programs, work programs (syllabuses) they were recommended for publication at a meeting of the Department and the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Finance and Economics Faculty of TNU and introduced into the study.
At the department, a student scientific circle called “Financial managers and Customs officers” is headed by Sadizoda J. and the scientific circle of experienced teachers, Candidate of Economic Sciences, associate professors Ikromova F.N., Hikmatova S.H., Davlatshoeva O.H. and Davlatmuradov Sh.M. it works.
Students of the department traditionally participate in all competitions of the republican Olympiyad and take prizes.
Currently, the Department of Public Financial Management has established mutually beneficial cooperation with specialized departments of higher educational institutions of the country and abroad.
